Picked up new Horn relay at Hoods and installed ...WORKS!
Prepared and fitted fresh air boot on heater phlenum.
Aimed headlights after removing headlight doors to access adjust screws.

Took fairlane to college to start the safety checklist.
Compiled a list of items that need attention, including brakes, licence plate light,
alignment, tires.
Compiled a list of should do's as well, including U-joints,shocks front and rear,
extension housing seal, transmission pan gasket, battery cables, fuel pump, fan belt,
all hoses, water pump, hood to cowel seal, temperature sensor, thermostat, plugs, wires
undercoating. Quite the list eh.......well this is only the START!

Purchased battery ground cable, body ground wire and terminals and installed
Purchase generic licence plate light at Ctire and installed.
Purchased temperature sensor from Ctire but it is not the right one.

Cleaned Trunk and installed floor extensions after painting them red.
Work started to clean up the loose wiring under the hood. There is a lot of
work to be done here with a lot of old crimped connectors and such that will be
replaced with soldered connections and shrink wrap insulation.

Looked at taking carb off intake manifold. Took off Starter to take to college
and have apprentices rebuild it.
Found engine block serial number E0AF - 1980 Galaxie 302
Took off valve covers to blast and clean and repaint, cleaned up old distributor cap

Bead blasted valve covers and repainted them ford blue. Wire wheeled all bolts
and repainted. Took off starter cable to get a new one..needs 34"
Recieved more brake part prices from Napa, purchased new starter cable at Ctire.

Picked up temperature sensor connector at Wesman Salvage, looked for fan shroud
Removed carb to prepare for overhaul. Installed temp. sensor connector.

Installed rebuilt starter, Purchased thermostat and hoses at Ctire and installed
Found out I got the wrong diameter of heater hose(5/8") but installed all others.
Purchased and installed altenator at Ctire, Painted front of engine with fan removed.

Picked up 5/8" heater hose at Piston Ring....cool RED!
Cut lower rad hose too short and needed to purchase another one at Ctire.
Ordered gasket for carb to intake at Piston Ring, Purchased carpet for trunk at Stewarts
Purchased wiring supplies, solder, shrinkwrap and antifreeze at Ctire.

Worked on cleaning up wiring connections solder and shrinkwrap
Purchased yellow 8mm plug wired, distributor cap and rotor
Determined that radiator is out of a 69 Fairlane. Distributor is from a 65 Galaxie

After borrowing trim tool from work, removed handles from door panels to lubricate
latches. Bead Blasted and repainted air cleaner, and gasline braket, picked up carb
gasket at Piston Ring. Brake parts arrived from Mid Canada Suspension with Shocks.

Overhauled carb with a little HELP..that should read BIG HELP from friends!
Bead Blasted and clearcoated ashtrays in car. Picked up supplies for the evening
Started car for the first time in a couple of weeks..and had a problem with wiring.
Had a small fire when a wire fried. Took car out on Drive and found it to be missing
badly....will ask for help on this one... firing Order?? Removed and replaced front
shocks, removed rear shocks and coil over attachments.

Bead blasted and repainted coil over attachments. Installed rear shocks. Removed
rear seat and installed package tray, cleaned up under back seat area.
Sprayed rubberized undercoater in trunk area. Adjusted carb but still missing
Asked about voltage regulator wiring..and recieved guidance.

Installed fuel pump and feul filter, stripping out one bolt in timing cover
Purchased fuel filter and clamps at Ctire after finding the first one didnt fit.

Changed thermostat to a 160 to see if car would run cooler, but I think this had
more to do with the timing of the engine. Changed over to electronic voltage regulator
found at Wesman Salvage. Started to fix ebrake cable on pulley... Checked engine
timing and found firing order out. 1962 Shop Manual arrived from Nova Scotia

Took Photos of Car with Dates. Took off hood parts to blast and paint
Repositioned ebrake cable to proper position.

Removed Hood and hinges, cleaned and sanded engine compartment and started painting
I used an executive black gloss to clean up. Checked fuel gauge due to low level
condition showing.. determined it must be the sending unit in the tank.

Purchased wiring harness for regulator at Wesman Salvage. Reinstalled hood hinges
after blasting and repainting. Aligned hood and clear coated bolts after cleaning
Recieved 1963 Supplement from Connecticut....US version..not so good. Picked up hood
to cowel seal from a 80 Fairmont at Wesman Salvage.

Wiped down headliner inside of car to remove crud. Prepared antifreeze sample
to test at work.

Borrowed timing light from work. Checked plugs seemed to be carboned up..BLACK!
Learned that timing had to be checked with vacuum advance disconnected.

Hank came over to help with timing and get the engine running smoother.
Plans requie a set of autolite plugs. Hank suggested a compression test. Wire
resistance checked and past test within limits.

Picked up autolite plugs, universal joints, extension housing seal at Hoods,
Installed plugs after checking out gap at .050. Performed a compression check on
all cylinders. Found and blasted and painted an old bumper jack. Picked up oil and
filters and oil change tub from Superstore

Changed oil after flushing and new filter. Sprayed undercoater under car, with
car totally up on jackstands first time. Picked up cheap exhaust chrome turndowns
Ctire. Priced out the cost of new tires...... Goodyear, etch.

Cleaned around tank filler, primed and repainted area. removed all trim
from rear of car to clean under. STarted the process of detailing chrome on
exterior of car removing overspray and tape lines. Reattached head lamp to front.

Bead Blasted and repainted gas filler lid. Continued working on removing
paint from side chrome. Lot of work here to remove all...still working! Priced
out a fan shroud from AutoKrafters $89.95US... YIKES!!

Continued scraping off paint off chrome and stainless exterior trim. Checked
differential for leaks... and needs cleaning prior to repainting.

Completed cleaning paint overspray from chrome. Removed wheels and rims
Wirewheeled all stud bolts. Found two of the rims to have elongated bolt holes.
Continued cleaning off gunk off differential and started looking at the
condition of front suspension parts. Started to paint with executive black.
