Removed front brake hose clips and cleaned and clear coated
Decided to look at changing out lower control arm bushings right side is really gone
Moved our old stove into the garage....might do a little powder coating in the future
Attempted to remove the ball stud out of the center link......man it is STUCK!

With all the front end parts removed.. steering and suspension up to
upper control arm, cleaned and painted all the parts. Will need
to press bushings off idler arm and bracket for replacement.

Pressed out and in new bushings onto idler arm parts, called
Mid Canada Suspension to order new lower control arm bushings and started taking
off lower control arm. Made up a ball joint pusher with a couple of bolts
and a coupling nut.... worked well. Once removed blasted and repainted lower arm.

After painting lower control arms, pressed in new bushings and then touched
up paint. Found a small crack in the lower arm that had to be MIG welded, welder
indicated this will be better than new. Installed new front brake hoses.and bled
brakes

Removed battery and windage tray at front of engine for blasting and cleaning
and repainting with chassis black. Found the water pump to be seeping again
tried silicone on the bolts into the block to stem leaks...... seems okay????
weather strips are about $400 Canadian.......did you hear me flinch?
Cleaned up old tie rod parts and cleaned

Replaced all battery parts back on car. Found that I had stripped out a strut
rod frame bracket bolt .. I tapped and replaced it with a 1/2" instead of 7/16"
New park light assemblies arrived from Oregon. I took out and replaced them with the
new ones...... nice and clean now.......thanks to my friends PartNout in Oregon.

Started to install all cleaned and repainted suspension parts including Pitman
arm...man Torqued that cowboy to 140 foot/lbs. Cleaned up differential bumper and installed.

Borrowed pressure testor for cooling system to see if I can see any leaks
AGAIN!! system held pressure for 8 hours with no drop ... must just be seepage!.
Adjusted hood hinge on right side for better alignment.

Won a licence plate bracket and light from PartnOUT in Oregon ...man these are
great folks to deal with. Ordered a new ignition switch and door locks from them as well.

Took off fly wheel inspection plate to wire wheel and clear coat..reinstalled.
Finally purchased my own torque wrench. Sent pattern of trunk extensions to a
fellow in Knoxville, Tennessee. Started a test patch of colour sanding on the rear trunk lid.

Found another drip of antifreeze on the shop floor..DAMN.... Started
to ask some of the fellows at AutoBodyStore.com questions on cleaning up paint
They provided some great ideas on how to removed the orange peel and scratches
Worked a little more on the trunk lid area with the wet sand, buff and polish..
pretty good results.. will take some work though to do the whole car.

Picked up some 1000 grit sand paper at Ctire and some cutting cream..
will require some 2000 grit sandpaper for wet sanding...... and some better buffing
compound.

Went to Chase Autobody Supply and picked up 2000 grit and McGuires #4 cutting cream
for buffer. STarted on the trunk lid again..wet sanding and buffing....and then
polish...wow what a difference and a smooth finish....will sure take some work to do
the whole car. Picked up more buffing pads for buffer.

Sanded and buffed out the rear valence and fender tops with paper, compound and polish
picked up some Gold Class Wax for the final touch to protect the paint.

Licence plate light and bracket arrived from Oregon......with door and ignition locks.

Buffed out Hood again as it was still a little dull, polished and waxed again too.
Removed trunk lock cylinder. Called a friend to help rebuild the cylinder. Rebuilt
the cylinder using the old ignition....works good..but not quite right.. will live with it
installed the door locks from PartNout so now the ignition and door locks are on the
same key and they WORK GREAT!!

Sanded out the right side of car, buffed and polished and waxed too>
took some of the cutting cream to the interior turquoise paint and shined it up.
Removed glove box lock to get a key made for it. This was a waste of time..just wait

He found a lock cylinder for me..and will send out!!...well so much for all the work
I did so far eh?? Started to work on this page series for the Fairlane.

Sanded out the left side of car, buffed, polished and waxed. Will require
this side to be repainted as blemishes are just too deep to remove..went through
paint in a couple of places. YIKES!!

Had a close look at the car again and found lots of places to rebuff and polish again.... work continues again.. I think I have about 30 or so hours in the paint
cleanup. 5.0L signs arrived today from Mustang Unlimited and removed the 260 V8
fender emblems.

Replaced exhaust brackets.... tested all the suspension bolts to see if any were
frozen. I put some WD 40 on all the bolts just incase getting ready to remove it all.

Removed rear leaf springs and related parts. Good thing I had read the info
in the manual on how to support all the parts
one I did some reading in the manual and asked a lot of questions of HANK.
removed all front suspension parts up to the control arms including strut
rods, stablizer bar..all brackets idler arm and pitman arm.. need bushings.

Worked on one of the frozen bolts from one of the rear leaf at the front hanger to free.
decided that I would reuse all the rubber bushings as they were in almost pristine shape
just a little checking on the edges is all. Trunk lock cylinder arrived from Special Interest.

Removed the glove box lock again to get it keyed to the same key as the trunk..
lost out on a seat of seat covers on eBay...they went for $80US....yikes!
