Date Description Friday, 02/01/2002 2 hours Reinstalled glove box lock cylinder after rekeying scapped and wire brushed springs in preparation for paint. All things in place to reinstall rear springs in the morning. Saturday, 02/02/2002 6 hours Reinstalled rear springs. Man it is a good thing I have the manual. Information is consise and lead me through the proceedure. Worked well. Sunday, 02/03/2002 2 hours Sold tie rods to a fellow in New York....on eBay. Draped new tarps over car to test fit....works well..should consider making a cover out of them Monday, 02/04/2002 1 hours Shipped tie rods to New York by UPS. Wednesday, 02/06/2002 12 hours Worked on webpages for 12 hours....can you believe how long this stuff takes??? Friday, 02/08/2002 1 hours Got a line on an AC unit for the car in New York for $175US....not sure Parts arrived in New York. Sunday, 02/10/2002 3 hours Finally won a set of seat covers on eBay for $31 US Ice Blue..not too bad calculated an estimate of shipping costs etc for AC from New York.. 245US yikes Monday, 02/11/2002 0 hours AC deal fell through...the fellow didnt want to take the time to take off car.....no biggie..will keep on looking. Wednesday, 02/13/2002 3 hours Went to Anderson Autoparts to look at trunk actuator, not sure it will work also went to Wesman Salvage to find one...they have one on a 88LTD that will work Will go back tommorrow to get after work. Thursday, 02/14/2002 2 hours Valentines day...what does she wish to do this day?? Took trunk latch off car to see if the it can be adapted for trunk release. Friday, 02/15/2002 3 hours Picked up trunk actuator and push button from Wesman Salvage Had Eric at work help to see if the actuator will work. worked at snakeing a wire along the right side of trunk lid in channels. MOre fabrication on lock required. Saturday, 02/16/2002 8 hours Installed actuator in trunk with wiring direct through car to battery. Unfortunately I found out that I was hooking up to the wrong side of the latch I have to get below the keyed latch....DUHS!! Cleaned up rust off the base of rear view mirror. Decided to reroute wires and redo latch....had to rework the latch a little to allow the cable entrance and attachment....WORKS GREAT...press the button and viola...trunk lid pops open. Wednesday, 02/20/2002 2 hours Seat covers arrived and pertronix ignitor arrived........ installed pertronix in the time stated......car started first time and ran smooth......will have to wait to test just how much power there is now checked on the sizing of seat covers and found the rear one to be too long. call BP Upholstery to check to see if it can be altered...will take for him to see. Thursday, 02/21/2002 1 hours Bid and won Keyless entry and door lock kit from eBay.... 24.99 for the system Friday, 02/22/2002 1 hours Arranged with Hank to take car to college to check on winter work and align. Saturday, 02/23/2002 6 hours Took car to work, car pulled to right when braking.... will have to check. Alignment done with checking toe, caster, camber... have printout. We were only able to adjust toe..but I think we did it wrong because now the car tracks down road straight with wheel cocked to the left....darn. Took play out of steering box. Checked differential fluid....level okay. Removed front seat Cleaned up road dirt from the travel to work.......hey put on 7.5 miles on the car!!! Odometer reading is 9 miles NOW! Monday, 02/25/2002 2 hours Took front seat to BP Upholstery and dropped off and picked up rear seats. Installed rear seat in car......LOOKS GREAT.... still have the old covers. Tuesday, 02/26/2002 4.5 hours Decided to try and make a car cover out of some paint tarps I had, sewed them and adapted them to a pretty good dust cover for the garage Wednesday, 02/27/2002 1 hours Keyless entry system arrived from Pennsylvania today! checked out mounting and wiring locations.. Thursday, 02/28/2002 3 hours Picked up and installed Front seat after it was recovered. did a little more research into the keyless entry..this could be a big job. Seems to be missing some parts. Contacted MyPushCart.com and they are going to send out the missing door lock kit next week.
