[Group Perks]

Ok, so explain what these "Perks" are you're talking about?

Based on currently available information from Carnival (this may change) and how groups work, we will need enough people to book a minimum of 8 rooms to be considered a “Group”. Once we are considered a group, some additional perks may come our way. Every Carnival cruise has a certain number of "Fun Points" assigned to it. Fun Points are distributed to groups on a first come, first serve basis. This is another reason why we are planning to reserve our cruise early. Fun Points can be redeemed for various items or services aboard a Carnival cruise. As Tracey and I are organizing this vacation, we plan to use the Fun Points towards what we believe to be the best "Perks" for the people in our group. We hope to choose one, maybe two, private, one hour cocktail parties on the ship that would have an open bar for our group. On top of that you also may receive $50 to $100 shipboard credit per room, to spend any way you want on the ship. The "Perks" we receive depends solely on availability at the time of booking. If by chance NO Fun Points remain available for the cruise we have chosen, we will all essentially be booking the rates published on the Carnival website which are still lower, the further out you book.

The private, one hour open bar cocktail parties are the only potential events that we would like you to attend. Come say hello to us, tell us how you've been, and how you're enjoying your vacation. That's it. If you want to get together with us some night at the bar for a few drinks, or to go to the show for example, great, if not, have fun doing whatever you decide to do. After all, it is YOUR vacation.

If we exceed the minimum of 8 rooms to be considered a group, our “Perks” may grow a little. However, the private, one hour open bar get-togethers we plan will be maximized at two. If we happen to have two of these get-togethers, we hope to have one at the beginning of the cruise to say hello, and one towards the end of the cruise to say good-bye. If Carnival rewards additional “Perks” as a result of the group exceeding the minimum of 8 rooms, these perks will be evenly distributed amongst all rooms, likely in the form of additional shipboard credit. So, there is potential for the per stateroom shipboard credit to EXCEED $100, if we have a large group. The exact amount of the credit per room can not be accurately calculated until the size of the group has been determined.
