Q. Speed restrictions at schools. (Sept 06)

A. Response from Development Services: The province sets this. They are reluctant in changing it because of a perceived safety issue.(Sept 06)

Rumble strips have been used in communities before as a deterent to speeding but it is not recommended because of increased noise.

This issue was brought forward again in the spring and I will provide the response from the province once received.

Q. There appears to be an increase in the speeding on 34th Street south of Richmond. (Sept 06)

A. Response from Police: We will take a look at this.
