Q. Could we get some crossing Guards for Waverly (Crossing from Willowdale across tracks). (Sept 06)

A. Response from Administration: School board issue. (Sept 06)

I have forwarded this issue to the joint City Council/Brandon School board committee to discuss.

Q. Condos have to buy the big garbage containers. Do people in backlanes have to buy them? (Sept 06)

A. Response from Operations: Currently, all new developments have to buy their containers. At this time, condominiums would have to purchase replacements for their containers if they needed to be replaced. (Oct 06).

We are currently in the process of evaluating a different type of collection system which would mean different containers. We would hope that a recommendation would be coming forth to council in late spring (Jan 07)

It would be my recommendation to wait until the new collection system comes forward. My belief at this time is that condominiums should be treated the same as all residents. This will be debated when the new system comes forward.
