Backlanes

Q . The backlane beside Linden Lanes school (east side) needs to be graded differently so that the houses on the east side of the lane do not get flooded?

A. Response from Operations: We will look at this and get back to you with an answer.

Response from Operations: We will attempt to improve drainage this fall. (Oct 07)

I have forwarded pictures of the flooding that took place in the spring to both engineering and operations. I will follow up with them to make sure this is not forgotten about.

Q. Backlane between Silverbirch and Ashgrove. Can it be paved (or graveled)? (Sept 06)

A. Response from Operations: There is no grade to work with to deal with the drainage. This has been passed on to engineering. (Sept 06)

I took pictures of the backlane in the spring when it was flooded and passed it on to operations. I will follow up with them to make sure this is not forgotten about. (Mar 07)

Q. Backlane behind Acadia is used as a street for the apartments. Can something be done to fix it? (Oct 06)

A. Response from Development Services: Will get back with the price of paving the backlane. (Oct 06)

Given that this road is used as access to the apartments off of Acadia, it is my belief that it should have a proper access and we should pave the road. It should never have been allowed to happen and now the city needs to correct it. I will continue to follow up with them to make sure this is not forgotten about. (Mar 07)
