Q. Golf course. Wants to have it remain a golf course. Either private or public. (Sept 06)

A. The decision by council in the spring was to put the golf course out to tender. It will either be sold (and must remain a golf course) or it will be another long term lease. I am expecting the recommendation to be coming forth to council at the first meeting in June.

It was decided at the June 25th Council Meeting that the city would retain control over the Recreation Centre for a period of up to 5 years. We will not lease or sell the course and the curling club will function as usual.

Q. No postings of when paddling pools open. Are they put in the community bulletin in the spring? If not, could they. (Sept 06)

A. Response from Operations: Yes there will be bulletins put out in the late spring on the City page and also on the City Website.
