Vladimir Krutov 1989-90 Vancouver Canucks

Quite possibly Krutov's only home NHL jersey. This jersey was likely drycleaned after its last game use, as at first glance it appears clean, but the wear that is there indicates this jersey was worn plenty. Very heavy pilling, frayed number's/lettering. Upon closer inspection, you can see where the wear was been washed out.

Vlad scored the first NHL goal by a Soviet in this jersey.

Vladimir Krutov 1988 CCCP National Team Izvestia Tournament

All my research on this jersey indicates it was only used for the 1988 Izvestia tournament in Moscow over the Christmas holidays. With only a few games, this jersey some nice wear through out. The front logo was unique to this set with the Italic CCCP screened on in white on bright red/orange. KRUTOV is screened on, with the numbers being sewn on made of typical nylon material used by the CCCP teams in this era.

Vladimir Krutov 1989 CCCP World Championships

Amongst major strife in the Soviet hockey program, the end of the legendary national career of Krutov ended in this jersey. The KLM line would never play competively together again. The Soviets iced one of the best International teams ever, the the green unit with Bure, Fedorov, Mogilny and Kamensky joining in. Coach Tikhonov later called the greatest team he ever coached.
This Tackla jersey has lighter wear, everything is sublimated. My favorite jersey in my collection.

Vladimir Krutov 1980's CCCP National Team

A rare white version of the Soviet National teams white jersey from the 80's power house team. Typical of this style CCCP jersey, light weight mesh and the cresting is all sewn on being a light weight nylon type material.

There is a patch sewn to the upper front chest.

A big thanks out to the private collector who made this one available.

Sergei Makarov 1989-90 Calgary Flames

Worn as set 3 for 89-90, the playoffs, the 1990 pre-season and into the 90-91 regular season. This jersey is absolutely beaten. The Flames 10 year patch has been removed for the jersey to be used the following year.

Sergei earned the Calder Trophy at age 31 in this jersey, resulting in the league to restrict Calder candidates to under the age of 26

Sergei Makarov 1985-86 Central Red Army

This fantastic jersey was worn through the whole season including the teams games versus NHL teams in the Super Series from this season. The number are screened on, the name is made of a felt type material adhered to a nameplate. The strip of felt material on the back hem covers a sponsor screened across the bottom. The small  tattered UCKA emblem above the "A" covers a TIBAS logo. This jersey is hammered!

Viacheslav Fetisov 1989-92 New Jersey Devils pre-season

CSKA's long time captain began his rookie NHL season in this jersey, and continued using it in preseason games until the introduction of the red & black theme took over.
It's clear Fetisov took alot of abuse the heavy wear speaks to this. The front crest, arm and back numbers are Vinyl with the name being a combo of green vinyl with red twill press on top. The best D-man of the 80's.

Alexei Kasatonov 1980's CCCP jersey

An awesome example from the big red machine in the mid 80's. This classic style is the typical thin mesh with vynyl type material sewn on for the logo, lettering and name. Has light to moderate wear with some puck/stick marks, board burns and a few unrepaired tears. The captians "K" is made from athletic tape and has yellowed over time, I have matched the placement to a card that dates to 1984. The "K" typically belonged to Fetisov or Makarov, political views among players were emerging and Kasatonov was true to his superiors.

Alexei Kasatonov 1989-90 New Jersey Devils

Worn in his initial season in the NHL, a beautiful knit CCM jersey. Has small CCM logo and Custom Crafted logo on the rear hem . Displays lighter wear with some nice stick marks throughout, and several unrepaired cut marks. Everything is sewn on.

A nice piece from one of the worlds elite defenseman in the 80's.

Alexander Ovechkin 2003-04 Dynamo Moscow

From Ovechkin's draft year. This jersey was worn in the first few months of the 03-04 season, as their main sponsor "ROSGOSSTRAK" were not happy with the visibility of their ad on the back and switched it to a more visible design for the rest of the year. This jersey does have nice wear, with plenty of stick marks everywhere. The name is sublimated onto a nameplate.

A RARE pre NHL jersey of Ovie's.

Valeri Kamensky 1994-95 Quebec Nordiques

Valeri wore this in the Nordiques last season in the league before the move to Colorado. This was the first season Kamensky was able to don his #13, as it was made available when Sundin was traded away. This knit jersey shows great wear with everything from stick marks, cuts, holes, paint transfers, board burns and blood stains.

Valeri Kamensky 1998-99 Colorado Avalanche CHS patched

Kamensky's last Av's jersey, worn in the 1999 playoffs with the CHS patch, commemerating the Columbine High School shooting that spring. The wear is on the light side, but there are some nice burns and stick marks. Signed beautifully on the front.

This jersey was part of Claude Lemieux's personal collection and has a letter from him.

Sergei Fedorov 1989 CCCP World Junior Championships

Along with linemates Mogilny and Bure, Fedorov overwhelmed Canada in their final game to take home gold, wearing this very jersey. Representing the future of hockey in the Soviet Union, they simply dominated.

While the nameplate has been removed, the jersey can clearly be videomatched at the end of the game during the medal ceremony. While its hard to say if the jersey was used in other compitions, the wear seems to be heavier than one tournament. A very early Sergei jersey.

Alexsei Gusarov 1987 CCCP Canada Cup

Worn in the best hockey series ever played, this jersey has great wear, with unrepaired tears in each arm, stick marks throughout, paint transfers and a few holes. Made by Adidas, it sports their stripes down each arm, felt like numbers and CCCP,. The bottom white stripe and design on the front is sublimated. GUSAROV is  twill sewn onto a nameplate. This had been photo and videomatched.

Sergei Fedorov 1993-94 Detroit Red Wings TBC

This rare 1993-94 turn back the clock jersey the Wings worn on occasion against other original 8 teams was worn in Sergei's finest NHL season, collecting the Hart and another Selke trophy. This one has lighter wear, with several stick marks. It also has the 1993-94 team stamp on the rear inside hem. These TBC jerseys are highly sought by collectors, a Fedorov is a rare quality player to find in these.

Alexander Mogilny 1993-94 Buffalo Sabres

You can bet Don Cherry's little brain nearly exploded when Mogilny skated out with the captains "C" in Lafontaine's absence. As explained by a Sabres collector, this jersey can be identified to the second half of the 93-94 season by the angle of the slash under the Buffalo. In that it runs parallel to the Sabres identifies it to this time.
An Ultrafil gamer, with wear on the lighter side, a fantastic jersey that identifies his defection year (1989), and beginnings of North America's acceptance of Russians in a leadership role.

Vladimir Konstantinov 1990-91 Central Red Army

Have you ever seen one of these before? I bet not, a very rare Red Army Cooper jersey from 1990-91! Also from the very tough and skilled Konstantinov. All the numbering/lettering, CSKA patches on the shoulders and the sponsor logo are a sort of velvet applied material, that is obviously coming off in areas. Used untill CSKA received there CCM jerseys this season. A tough jersey to even find photos of, although I have located several game photos.
I never thought Id find a Vladdy with his name in cryllic!

Viacheslav Kozlov 1991-92 Detroit Red Wings

For Slava only playing 7 games this year, this jersey has great wear and is easily photomatched several times over to the nice stick mark running up through the crest onto the jersey material. Matches can also be found to a paint transfer on the right shoulder, a hole in the left elbow and another mark to the upper left chest area.

Evgeny Davydov 1988-89 Central Red Army

OOhhhh! the rarely seen home CSKA jersey from the 1988-89 season, the last season of the big 5 in Russia.
A typical shimery mesh material, made by "Team Place" in Finland. To say this jersey is hammered is putting it lightly. Too many cuts, holes and burns to count. Piles of crude repairs on the arms and body.
At one time a nameplate was removed, I would guess an English nameplate for travel abroad. Like wear?

Evgeny Davydov 1988-89 Central Red Army

These were most notably worn in the Red Army's touring through the NHL in the 1988-89 season, but was also brought back and worn in the Russian Elite league. This jersey features a namebar in cryllic placed over the original latin namebar which was used in North America. This was bought from a friend of Evgeny's in Winnipeg from his NHL days. When this was first offered to me I thought I had a Larionov with a Davydov nameplate, but this season he switched from his tradional #11 to #8.

Pavel Datsyuk 2004-05 Dynamo Moscow

Worn in the first couple months of the 2004-05 season when the NHL season was cancelled. Like my Ovechkin Dynamo, the teams main sponsor ROSSGOSTRAK decided the beer sponsor on the back OCHAKOVO was the better place for their name, so in Dec, they had the team move the OCHAKOVO name under the front crest and moved their name to the back. This jersey does show nice wear with many stick marks and unrepaired holes, scrapes and burns holes.

Alexei Kovalev 1990-91 Dynamo Moscow

The earliest Kovalev game worn jersey out there, and certainly the flimsiest. Made of very light mesh, typical of Dynamo jersey from this era. Everything on the jersey from the striping to the numbers and name was screened on.

There is definate wear, with a few red marks and stick marks. A nice example of a star Dynamo players jersey before they began to pile on sponsor ads.

Evgeny Kuznetsov 2012 Russia World Championships

A National team jersey from the top prospect in the world. This jersey was worn through the tourny as Russia worn there reds 8 games including the Gold medal match they won.
You may remember him from the Russian team at the 2011 WJC, as Russia overcame a 3-0 deficit in the 3rd period of the final to win 5-3 with Evgeny's 3 assists or his 3 goals in the 2012 semis to sink Canada.

The jersey show light wear sith a few boards burns and stick marks.

Alexei Zhamnov late 1980's CCCP National Team

Another tough Soviet jersey. This classis CCCP style is produced by Koho, and bears there logo on the front waist striping. The CCCP and numbers all are a Nylon type material sewn on. All this material has a red tinge, presumably from the red in the jersey running during washes. The namepate has crudely been stitched on. Zhamnov has signed the back #2.

With the heavier wear this jersey displays, and the crude fashion the nameplate has been sewn on, one could assume this jersey has been recycled.

Ilya Kovalchuk 2004 Russia World Championships

From when Kovalchuk was the young bright light in Atlanta, always had free time in the spring to represent the motherland in the WHC. Very light wear on this red Nike jersey. The double eagle crest is ebroidered right into the jersey with RUSSIA and all numbers sewn on. His name is a light tackle twill heat pressed onto the nameplate.

A loss for the NHL and the Devils, the super talented Kovy took his game back home

Nikolai Khabibulin 1991-92 CSKA-2 (CIS-3)

Likely the earliest Khabibulin jersey you'll find out there. Worn by Nikolai while with the CSKA JR team in 1991-92. Both CSKA and CSKA-2 worn AK brand jerseys this season, this jersey can be distinguished from the senior CSKA team from the lack of a large star in the striping in the sleeve.
Other pics: Jersey COA/LOA:
Sergei Zubov 1989 CCCP National Team Japan Cup

Likely the earliest Zubov jersey you will ever see. Used in the Japan Cup tournament in May of 1989. This jersey does display nice wear, especially to the sleeves and sweat stains around the collar. Not the familiar translation of Zubov's last name, but slight variances were common at the the time.

The front CCCP/Bauer/Adidas and numbering and Micron graphics are all a felt type material applied directly to the jersey. The should patches, Soviet patch and sublimated nameplate are stitched on

Alexander Maltsev Dynamo Moscow 1979 WHA Super Series ISSUED

Unfortunately this jersey never made it onto Maltsev. It was from a set made by Harval in Winnipeg, that featured screened numbers, stripes and front logo.

Quite simply, Maltsev is a Soviet legend, and the best player ever to suit up for the historic Dynamo team in Moscow. He had to sit out of the WHA/Dynamo series that featured Gretzky and Howe suited up for the WHA. With the Dynamo captain out, the WHA swept the series 3-0.

Boris Mironov 1991-92 Central Red Army

A nice example of a CCM CSKA jersey. This jersey seems to only have seen action in Russia, with no signs of a latin namebar being removed.

It is an air-knit jersey that exhibits nice wear with unrepair burn holes and stick marks through out. It has been photomatched to a Russian set of cards.

Oleg Tverdovsky 1994-95 Brandon Wheat Kings

Another jersey from the strike shortened 1994-95 season. Oleg, arrived in Brandon as the season was well under way. He managed only 7 games before the NHL strike ended and he made his NHL debut with Anaheim. The jersey does display some nice stick marks and board burns for the number of games used. He had free reign to use his skill and skating in his few WHL games, it was exciting to see a defensemen of his skill set here, even for a short time.

Sergei Bautin 1992-93 Winnipeg Jets

One of my favorite jerseys. Jets GM MIke Smith, believed he had a gold mine in osbsure Russian players for the '92 draft, the gem stole in the first round (17th)...Sergei Bautin! Collectively all the other 23 GM's high five, as Bautin was 25 at the time, his draft year was 1985 and was a free agent.
But still, he joined the Jets the following year and wore this jersey in doing so.
A very rare orange border Stanley Cup Centennial patch sits on the chest, the Jets wore this patch for one set. Only the Habs and Jets used these. The jersey itself has lighter wear, with holes and burns through out.

Andrei Khomutov Friburg - Gotteron

Khomutov dominated the Swiss League from 1990-91 to 97-98, emmassing 489 points over 248 games. The former Soviet and Red Army forward delighted the Friburg - Gotteron fans in this jersey in the early 90's.

Made by Blackey in Switzerland, the sweater is a shimmery mesh type material with everything sublimated other than the name and numbers which are screened.  A rare find from a skilled forward.

Sergei brought ended his NHL career and returned to the Motherland to wear the Lokomotiv jersey in 2002-03. In his first season in Yaroslavl, he helped win them the win Russian Elite League title.

Made by Kait Sport in a size 54, fully sublimated. There is a black band tacked on the left sleeve in memory of Alexander Taraseukh, the team's assistant coach, who was murdered during the 2002-03 season
