NOTICE

The dedication of a memorial to the crew of Lancaster KB879
-- victims of a WWII crash in the area --
will take place in the Village of Sandon, Staffordshire, England
on
August 28, 1999
11 AM

There will be a Memorial Flight flypast of a 
Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane.
~~~~
Those in attendance will include:
~ relatives of the men killed ~
~ Mayor of Stafford ~
~ Commanding Officer from 16MU RAF Stafford ~
~ Air Attaché from the Canadian High Commission ~
~ members of the British Legion ~
~ RAF guard of honour ~
~ local people with memories of the crash ~
and 
~ local and national media coverage ~
~~~~
The service at the site will be given by 
Canon John Greaves the vicar of Sandon and Burston. 
~~~~
Lunch will follow.
