Theme for 2010 - NEW HOPE IN THE NAME OF CHRIST

We have started planning for the 2010 sale. Proceeds from MCC Relief Sales are used to support MCC relief and development and peace projects around the world. We have decided to focus on Health projects in 2010. One of the countries in great need of health care facilities is the Democratic Republic of Congo. 2009 - 25th Brandon MCC Relief Sale

The 25th Brandon MCC Relief Sale began on Friday September 25, 2009 with a barbecued farmer sausage dinner complete with coleslaw, baked potato, fruit platz and coffee. There was a time to preview the sale items after the dinner. The evening music program provided by the Mennonite Church Faith and Life Men's Choir was enjoyed by about 400 people.

Total revenue for the sale reached $121,856 or $140,814 with Cycle Clear Lake donations. Follow the link for a final report.

Again this year - Cycle Clear Lake was

held on Saturday, July 3, 2010

Forty cyclists made the 35 km around Clear Lake in Riding Mountain National Park. It was a beautiful sunny morning but conditions for cycling were a real challenge since an early morning thunderstorm and wind storm toppled about 75 trees across the track on the North shore trail. $21,300 was raised for MCC as part of the Brandon MCC Relief Sale. This event is expected to run again in 2011. using the same route. Plan now to cycle or help with the event that will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011. Brandon is located 200 km west of Winnipeg on Highway #1 (Trans-Canada highway). To get to the Keystone Centre from the Trans-Canada take the 18th Street exit (#10 Highway South) and head south for about 7 km. To see a map of Brandon click here
