Brandon MCC Relief Sale
September 21-22, 2012
Keystone Centre in Brandon, Manitoba

Brandon Sale tops $100,000 again in 2011

The 27th annual Brandon MCC Relief Sale was held on Sept 23-24 at the Keystone Centre in Brandon, Manitoba. There was an excellent turnout of about 600 for the Friday supper of BBQ Mennonite Farmers Sausage, Vereniki and Platz. This was followed by a preview of sale items and a program of music.
The doors opened on Saturday morning at 8:30 with brisk sales of sausage, baked/canned foods, produce, and many other sale tables. A ventriloquist was brought in for children's entertainment followed by a children's auction. After lunch, the silent auction closed and the main auction started at 1:00 with quilts and other auction items finishing at about 3:00.
As usual, the famous Mennonite Farmers Sausage brought in the most revenue at over $40,000. About $10,000 was brought by food including a lot of pie and coffee.
Penny Power was higher than ever at about $8500 and the silent auction also was a record high at $4115. The total revenue for our sale is $109,710 and with the Cycle Clear Lake event held in July, the total is $131,310.
A  more detailed report will be posted on the Report link.
