Irving Berlin's

White Christmas: the musical

A new Broadway musical for the whole family, this show follows two love-stricken entertainers who find themselves in Vermont for the holidays.  There, they try to save the resort into which their wartime commander, General Waverly, has sunk all his savings.   The script of the movie has been reworked to add sly humour, more of Berlin’s best songs, and a whole lot of dancing.  Think: “42nd Street at Christmas”.

William Shakespeare's

Much Ado About Nothing

The soldiers have just returned from war, and confirmed bachelorette Beatrice looks forward to renewing her war of wit and words with Benedick.  But two of her friends scheme to bring Beatrice and Benedick together as lovers.  Meanwhile, shy Claudio solicits the Duke’s help to woo the beautiful Hero with almost disastrous results.  One of Shakespeare’s wittiest comedies.  Note change of venue:  the Lorne Watson Recital Hall, BU School of Music.  Call 727-3156 for tickets.   January 21 and 22, 2011

Buddy:  The Buddy Holly Story

Buddy Holly died tragically at the age of 22 in a plane crash that also claimed the lives of Richie Valens and the Big Bopper.  Yet his influence on the development of Rock ‘n’ Roll was unprecedented.  Seen by millions all over the world, this play gives audiences a look into the amazing story of Buddy’s rise to fame, plus a re-enactment of the final concert at Clear Lake, Iowa.  All music performed live on stage.  7 Ages is pleased to have procured the rights to the world-wide phenomenon.
