Who is Morrie?  Morrie Schwartz was a real person, a sociology professor at Brandeis University.  In the play, he is  battling Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS).

Who is Mitch Albom?  Mitch is a former student of Morrie, a successful sports writer and broadcaster in Detroit, who gets in touch with Morrie after 16 years when Morrie appears on TV's Nightline.  Mitch visits Morrie at Morrie's home in Boston.

What is special about Tuesdays?  Mitch decides to visit Morrie regularly, and arranges to be in Boston on Tuesdays so that he can visit weekly.

What is so special about the play?  The play is based on the book of the same name.  Tuesdays with Morrie was the best-selling book on the New York Times list for the year 2000.

Why is the book so popular?  The memoir is rich in insights into life and society, as Morrie and Mitch converse over a period of months.  Morrie's courage and common-sense approach to life and death are inspirational to Mitch and, since the publication of the memoir, to readers and audiences everywhere.  As the jacket says, "We have all experienced loss of some sort in our lives, and thus can identify with the conversations between Morrie and Mitch."  "Dying is a gift which helps us understand the most important things in life."

Where will the production be staged?  7 Ages will present the play at the Lorne Watson Recital Hall because we believe the smaller venue is perfect for the intimacy of this play.

Who is in the play?  The actors are Peter Buehler and Kai Choy and the play will be directed by George Buri.

What if I already purchased tickets for the play at the WMCA?  If you already have tickets, we will exchange them and refund the price difference.  Call 727-3156 to arrange the exchange or present your ticket at the door.

What if the theatre is sold out?  We will only sell as many tickets as there are seats in the theatre.  All seats are rush, however, so for preferred seating, be sure to arrive a half hour before the play begins.  The theatre is small and all seats are good seats.
