My grandmother's favourite pastime was crochet. My sister and I would watch her for hours as small children while she created her works of art. She used a small crochet hook and thin crochet cotton (#10). Gram had boxes and boxes of crochet pattern books for doilies which was her favourite things to make. She did make some crochet pictures and I am the proud owner of one. I have never really learned to crochet and knit properly but I do my best. When I would try to make a doily, it usually ended up being a bunch of knots that didn't look like very much. I stick to very simple afghans and scarves. Here are some sites that I enjoy visiting.
