David had dreams of becoming a major league baseball player: after graduating from high school, David pitched for the (now defunct) minor league team the Moose Jaw Diamond Dogs for a season. Uncertain he could make a career of baseball, he decided to enlist in the Canadian Armed Forces to pay for his university training. He spent four years in the army, and spent a large portion of it as a peacekeeper in Bosnia. After completing his four-year stint, David attended university, planning a career in Psychology; but after less than two years of university training, David decided to join the RCMP. David is currently a constable in the Surrey detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. |
