Greetings
from the 2006 Festival Committee
This
year the Committee continues to raise the profile of the Festival
to let everyone know that it’s a happening thing. The
generosity of our sponsors to help us accomplish this has
been great in the past and most have already agreed to return
for 2006.
We are
moving our Premier Roots and Acoustic Program to a new location
this year with the introduction of the "Off Broadway
Blues Room" located at the corner of Main Street and
Dufferin Avenue in the Off Broadway Theatre.
The Cosmo
Blues Room, so well received last year will again host our
major Plugged In and Turned Up artists as well as the hugely
successful Thursday kickoff featuring 5 acts.
Watch
for our new and improved web site to be revealed on January
23rd.
We are
pleased to partner with many of the Broadway area merchants
and bars to present a much larger festival experience for
everyone. There will be events in every price range from FREE
to a maximum ticket price of $20.00.
We have
many other improvements to announce as we move closer to the
new Year and the actual Festival dates of March 2 - 6, 2006.
Local
and prairie Blues artists are welcome to apply to participate
in our festival. To find out more please email you interest

Out of
town artists are encouraged to prepare either an audio or
video submission for consideration as we may not be able to
arrange to see you personally. Production quality is not as
important as is capturing your performance live in front of
an audience such as with a simple video camera.
