The Year In Review (Think 'Twas the Night Before Christmas)

The year started out at the BU cafeteria

With three other bands that fit the criteria

Good times were had as the drink did flow

Is it that bad to get kicked out of your own show?

A wedding social in Kenton with a friendly crowd

I think we may have played a little too loud

They hooted and hollered for a little bit more

But with no songs left we went straight for the door

Next we went to the North Forty Saloon

Basements were flooding, but we played all our tunes

Locked out of a motor home without any keys

A cab ride to Kemnay was what came to be

Minnedosa was next for Rockin the Fields

Wide Mouth Mason, Prism and Kenny Shields

We played a long set, it was considered a success

What happened after that is anyone’s guess

The Straithclair arena was damp and cold

It was worth every minute with Scott back in the fold

Songs we hadn’t played in a long time

With just one practice, things turned out fine

Friday night with the Omen was kind of rough

To come back from that would be tough

When Saturday came we had our doubts

Tonight was different, there were no cop-outs

There you have it, the year in review

Five or six gigs where everyone came through

As we take a break for some holiday cheer
