December 28, 2009 - Farewell to Rocky. Our big Golden Lab was in the final stages of kidney disease and we said farewell. We miss you.

January 28, 2006 - Farewell to little Fiver. The kitten Deb found abandoned near our home just before Christmas 2005, and which we nursed back to health, was viciously killed in our back yard by two dogs belonging to a neighbour.

While it is entirely appropriate that dangerous and nuisance animals be dealt with severely, we are of the view that the present Animal Control By-Law is too restrictive in some aspects and we are on record as opposing aspects of it at the time it was passed by Council. We will also be addressing problems with the enforcement of the By-Law. In both cases, we are of the opinion that the result is cruelty to family pets and, in particular, cats.

In the meantime, anyone who wishes to share a story involving unsatisfactory experiences with the Town of Minnedosa Animal Control By-Law, please do not hesitate to contact us by email. We welcome the support of anyone who is opposed to the mistreatment of family pets.

What's not new is how busy things have been over the past couple of years. The Law Practice is thriving and Deb's various interests have been keeping her very busy. We hope to be able to update this site a little more often.
